FEATURES:
The Ultracrimp tube closing system is used to close thin-walled polyallomer tubes for use in all Sorvall vertical and angular rotors for ultracentrifuges.
The basic system consists of: closing device (called Crimper); special covers for rotor; test tube holder; Ultracrimp tubes supplied with covers and caps. To use the system with vertical rotors, the kit cat. 12770 is also required, which includes: a tightening key and an adapter to secure the rotor covers, plus a rotor support structure.
The Crimper secures the aluminum cover onto the rubber cap, ensuring a perfect seal and thus allowing the use of such tubes with hazardous materials.
Partially filled tubes cannot be used. Each tube must be filled to the beginning of the neck.
