The Silverson range of In-Line mixers offers many operator benefits such as speed, versatility, self-pumping action, air-free operation, and guaranteed efficiency. The heart of each mixer is the high-performance Silverson rotor/stator workhead. The high rotational speed of the rotor blades, combined with the precision manufacturing of the workhead, exerts a strong suction action that draws in liquid and solid materials into the workhead. Subsequently, the centrifugal force produced by the rotating blades pushes the substances towards the peripheral area of the workhead, where they undergo a cutting action in the precisely engineered space between the rotor blade tips and the inner wall of the stator. This phase is followed by an intense hydraulic cutting action during the forced high-speed expulsion of the materials through the stator holes, continuing towards the machine outlet and then into the piping. Simultaneously, additional new material is drawn into the workhead, keeping the mixing and pumping cycle active.
