The IMA CL123 represents the latest generation of packaging machines, guaranteeing the tradition of the highest product quality in the most intuitive packaging solution: single-serve pods for espresso machines. The unit features a modified atmosphere throughout the pod production cycle, hydropneumatically controlled product compression, rapid format changeover, high production efficiency, and low maintenance. A horizontal cartoner is integrated into the line. The first and only monoblock machine capable of packaging not only compostable single-serve coffee pods, but also barley or aromatic herbs, heat-sealing them in a protective outer casing and finally packaging them in cartons. Product quality is 100% guaranteed thanks to the use of sophisticated and highly advanced technologies, placing the unit a step ahead in this delicate packaging sector, which requires the highest traditional product quality combined with rigorous safety factors. The CL123 features an integrated unit for heat-sealing the outer casing, allowing each individual pod to be wrapped in a heat-sealed casing on three or four sides. The machine’s flexibility in this area allows for the use of all heat-sealable materials available on the market. It also features an integrated Colombini unit for grinding coffee, a vacuum powder transfer unit, and a horizontal cartoner complete with a Nordson gluer.
