FEATURES:
The vertical laminar flow hood is equipped with three HEPA filters: an upper fan pushes air through a main filter from which a laminar flow emerges that impacts the work surface. The air passes over the work surface (made of perforated stainless steel) and is drawn in by a lower fan; the air is pushed through a second filter into the space above the main filter. 30% of the air is returned to the outside (after filtration through a third filter). The hood has a glass screen which is adopted for greater operator safety. The hood is classified as Class II, meaning its function is to protect both the operator and the sample, ensuring conditions of absolute sterility. This hood consists of a perforated stainless steel work surface, allowing the entry of pre-filtered air through a system of 2 HEPA filters, placed closely together. 30% of the air exits to the outside, while the remaining 70% stays within the hood: the function of the partial air exit is to create a depression that pulls air back inside, establishing a continuous flow. The air enters the hood with a vertical flow, so that microorganisms do not escape from the work environment and do not contaminate the operator (in the case of pathogenic microorganisms). This hood is indicated for the manipulation of group II and group III microorganisms.
