Description
MACHINE TYPE:
Rota rod treadmills, brand Ugo Basile, model 7700.
APPLICATION SECTOR:
Pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetic, food, dietary, medical devices, manufacturing.
FEATURES:
The “Rota-Rod” technique is essential for screening potentially active drugs or those with side effects on motor coordination. Ugo Basile designed the first industrial RotaRod nearly 50 years ago, based on a 1957 paper by NW Dunham and TS Miya. The 7700 RotaRod is an evolution of the original model and the result of many years of research in collaboration with the latest developments in behavioral and pharmacological research. Since then, our models have been cited in thousands of scientific articles. The name we coined became so popular that now everyone knows it as RotaRod. The 7700, physically similar to previous versions, offers the same reliability, combined with innovative technology. The new model features a stainless steel trip-box to facilitate cleaning and limit animals when they fall off the rod. The Rat RotaRod consists of four diameter cylinders, which are appropriately machined to provide grip. Five 49 centimeters diameter dividers create four lanes, each 8.7 cm wide, allowing four rats to be on the rotor simultaneously. The drop height is 30 cm.
