MACHINE TYPE:
Densimat is designed to measure the optical density of a bacterial inoculum produced in a liquid vial.

FEATURES:
It provides values in McFarland units, proportional to the average values of bacterial concentrations obtained with Gram-negative rods isolated from clinical specimens. Only API® or ATBTM vials should be used as they are subject to quality control testing. The density measurement can be performed in a vial of distilled water (Suspension medium), saline solution (NaCl 0.85% medium), or in the supporting liquids included with the strips: API 20 A medium, API STAPH medium, API 50 CH medium, API 50 CHB medium, API 50 CHL medium, API 50 CHE medium, ATB PBS. Densimat is designed for use in laboratories by scientific technical personnel.
