FEATURES:
A centrifugal pump essentially consists of a moving part called an impeller (bladed wheel), which draws fluid from a suction pipe connected to the center of the pump and transfers mechanical energy to the liquid in the form of kinetic energy. The bladed wheel rotates in a fixed spiral-shaped chamber, volute or pump casing, within which the liquid is moved by the centrifugal force imparted by the impeller, transforming the kinetic energy of the liquid into pressure energy and channeling it into the discharge pipe connected to the periphery of the pump.
