This instrument provided the highest quality gas chromatograph instrumentation available at that time.
The RS 40 headspace autosampler was the seventh generation of headspace samplers. On the left is the carousel where the samples are positioned. The tower on the right is where the vials are heated and the volatiles are transferred to the gas chromatograph.
