The E DRIVER 4 is an electronic control unit designed to drive Nordson electric dispensing guns, mainly used for the application of adhesives, sealants, hot-melt, cold glues, and other fluids. It replaces traditional pneumatic drive with precise and programmable electric control, ensuring greater accuracy, repeatability, and process stability. The unit is a four-channel electric controller capable of independently controlling up to four Nordson electric dispensing guns, each configurable for timing, stroke, and speed. This ensures uniformity of drops, beads, or sprays even at high production speeds, eliminating air regulators, solenoid valves, and typical instabilities of pneumatic systems. The Nordson E-DRIVER 4 acts as the “brain” of the dispensing system, controlling with extreme precision when and how material is dispensed. When synchronized with a PLC or line encoder, it allows for extremely accurate material placement, critical in high-speed processes or those subject to stringent regulatory requirements. It is not a device that directly dispenses adhesive; its function is to drive the guns, providing current, command signals, timing, and control of opening/closing cycles.
