DESCRIPTION:
Vertical laminar flow and microbiological safety (biohazard) cabin mainly used for cytostatics. The safety cabins are defined as Class II as they are equipped with a partial frontal working opening capable of allowing the extraction of 30% of the air and a recirculation system for the remaining 70%. which is sent to the work area in laminar flow.

MAIN FEATURES:
Vertical laminar flow hoods are designed to ensure the protection of products, the operator and the surrounding environment. Furthermore, they are mostly suitable for the preparation and manipulation of: cytotoxic drugs, antineoplastic chemotherapeutics, CMR drugs and any other agent that can cause genetic alterations or synergistic activities with other materials. The air that is sucked in from the front passes under the work surface and next to the side walls of the internal chamber, not entering the work area thanks to the vertical laminar flow which simultaneously descends throughout the internal chamber, and which it joins under the work surface. The air sucked in by the main motorized fan is directed into a plenum where approximately 70% is sent back into the work area through absolute filtration while the remaining 30% is expelled outside with the aid of a second motorized fan, following a second filtration absolute (air recirculation system). Furthermore, the quantity of expelled air is replenished with an equal quantity of ambient air sucked in through the front working opening, generating an isolating “front barrier” to protect the operator. The vertical laminar air flow and the expulsion air flow are filtered by filters.
