FEATURES:
Sorvall RT6000D is a high-capacity tabletop centrifuge. Designed with the end user in mind, this centrifuge offers maximum flexibility with simplified operation. Similar to other reliable Sorvall tabletop models, the RT6000D is capable of meeting a wide variety of centrifugation applications. The centrifuge features a digital readout display, closed-loop speed control, as well as a transparent chamber door that allows for rotor visibility. The chamber door is counterbalanced for easy opening and secure closing. The lid lock is manually secured by turning the door release knob counterclockwise to the LOCKED position, then a mechanical interlock is activated when the rotor begins to spin to prevent the chamber door from being opened during operation. All of this comes with an added refrigeration function. This Sorvall refrigeration system consists of an evaporator, a rotor chamber, and a low-temperature condensing unit. Designed to maintain the temperature within 1 °C while in the operating range of -5 °C to +25 °C, the RT6000D meets the needs of refrigerated centrifugation requirements. Sorvall centrifuges also feature the gyroscope, a self-centering drive that has a diamond hexagonal drive spindle to ensure proper rotor positioning. Along with this, the models have a soft start function that gradually accelerates the rotor from 0 to 600 RPM.
